Treasures of childhood

This is a dragonfly moult. I have several boxes of different exuviae. These are my son's childhood treasures. They have always been interested in animals, especially spiders. He walked the meadows and shores of lakes and collected various interesting specimens. He did not grow out of it. Currently, he holds a PhD in biology and deals with the ecology of invertebrates.
how very interesting that he found his passion so young. My older daughter did also, became interested in space in I think fourth grade, now has her PhD in planetary science and works in that field.

Wow, that's amazing. My daughter used to collect shells and interesting stones/pebbles from beaches, and we still have that collection at home 20 years later...
