Today again something from home treasures. This is the moult of cancer. When my son was little he used to bring me a lot of molts from the lake. I layed it and dried them properly. They looked real when dry. Many of them my son used to create various installations. I kept a few pieces. They remind me of our vacation together by the lake.
I have been interested in photography all my life and remember quite well developing my first black and white films myself... My favorite subjects are...
This looks like a lobster or crayfish (different size crustaceans), which are eaten over here. I wonder how long it had to dry out before it lost it's questionable odor. It is a fantastic specimen.
The black and white treatment makes it appear important- as if this was a documentation of a special species. Of course the memories it represents are far more important! Well done!
