As we were sailing out of Portsmouth we had an afternoon to visit the city. We visited the Historic Dockyard including the HMS Warrior 1860, a restored Victorian Warship (fabulous) and the new Mary Rose Museum with the relic of Henry VIII's beloved warship which sank over 470 years ago. It is well worth a visit - the museum is amazing.
We then took the lift to the top of the Spinnaker Tower, giving us great views over Portsmouth Harbour, the Isle of Wight and the Solent.
