Yes. Not an oxymoron! Harvested these today from the greenhouse. We have a kindly old chap who uses our greenhouse to grow prize begonias, and he looks after my grapes when I'm not there. Got home just in time to pick them all. Now, what to do with them - they're small, but lovely and sweet. I already had some in a crumble with plums from the garden, but I have a lot more to deal with! Suggestions on a postcard please! :-)
You could try making grape jam but it is rather a lot of work. My mum and I made some many years back and for the amount of work and the small amount of end product we decided not to bother again, despite the fact that what we were left with was delicious!
@salza Yes, grape jelly was in my mind ... but as you say, a lot of work. I thought about chutney - but there would be a lot of skin for chutney. I'll find something, I'm sure and I've already given some to a friend. I feel there will be more donations coming up though. :-)
@randystreat Thank you so much Kathy - I will try that out. Someone else recommended mixing grapes with whipped cream and crushed ginger biscuits. Sounds nice too!
