Autumnal Cherry Tree by jamibann

Autumnal Cherry Tree

I wanted to post a shot of our cherry tree with its autumn leaves lying all around the base. We've had no wind recently, and so all the leaves just lie where they fell. However, the image was a trifle dull, so I decided to give Prisma a chance to improve it! I liked the result.
Love the painterly effect...

It makes me think of you with your easel sitting in your garden and painting the tree. A beautiful result!

Simply a gorgeous rendering, Issi! And I see Taffy visualizes you within the picture as I do!

Ahh, so you've taken up painting, have you! Splendid!

Don't you just love it when the leaves blanket the ground right beneath the tree they came from? It's a rare sight, really, because wind always seems determined to mess them up.

@lyndemc Yes, I do, but these leaves are all gone now as I did the final (I hope) cut of the lawn yesterday! There are still quite a few left to fall though. It's been remarkably wind-free here recently, so it's lovely to see the leaves drop and lie where they fall, I agree. :-)

@taffy Ha ha .. when I'm in the garden there's usually a lawn mower in front of me, not an easel! ;-)

@peterday That'll be my job ... just done the final winter one!

@Weezilou Thanks Louise, but I'm afraid I don't own an easel! Sorry to shatter your illusion! ;-)
