Marguerite by jamibann

Marguerite

We laughed at this little family whilst we were enjoying our après-ski drink at the Christiania Hotel in La Clusaz. Granny and Grandad were out with the kids (3 of them). Marguerite (in purple/pink) was obviously a bit of a handful as we knew her name within 2 minutes of her arrival! Granny had gone off with the oldest girl, leaving Grandad with Pierre and Marguerite. Poor Pierre was trying to eat his crêpe in peace, whilst constantly being harangued by Marguerite wanting to sample it, and then a cute little stray dog appeared from nowhere to beg at the table. Grandad definitely looks as if he's had enough of everything!
cool story-telling shot

Poor grandfather; he looks tired, wishing granny to come back soon.

Excellent capture. An instant showing the family dynamic. Will she get a piece of crêpe or a fork in her hand? :)

Love this shot and narrative! Perfect timing to capture the essence of what each was experiencing at the moment...even the stray dog. Oh, yes! Grandad definitely looks like he's ready to go home. :-)

@fotoblah I think the fork was the most likely scenario! ;-)

His face speaks volumes; in fact, everything here does. Great 'street shot'.
