The kids and I are back in Bergen after our fantastic trip to Trolltunga. All good things must come to an end though ... tomorrow my daughter heads off to Oslo, my son goes back to London and I head off for Paris.
Whilst wandering through Bergen this afternoon, we saw this massive ship and wondered what it was. After a bit of help from our friend 'Google' we discovered that it is a live fish carrier, completed in April 2016. The fish apparently travel in a close system and don't come into contact with sea water. It is able to transport 540 tons of live salmon in 3600 cubic meters of water. The boat seemingly has the capacity to evaluate each fish in terms of weight, length and health during transportation. It seems the crew even have a jacuzzi on top of the wheelhouse with 360 degree panoramic views!!! How about that then?!
Hadn't considered that there's live fresh water fish transportation out there. Cool logo for their business. Safe travels are wished for all of your family.
This is quite the ship, and a great story going with it. Great shot and narrative. Your family really lives in all directions. How often do you get together all lat once?
@aglennc We're lucky that we're all in Europe at the moment - not always the case. We only generally get a couple occasions a year when we're all together. However we take every opportunity to make occasions happen!
