Because of the wonderful weather, hubby and I took the afternoon off yesterday, and went off walking around the Cambus O'May. Too nice not to! This is normally a circular walk of about 15km, but the suspension bridge where we usually cross the water was damaged in the 2015 flooding and has been closed to pedestrians ever since. Rather than turn back though we scaled the scaffolding, and crossed the bridge at our peril! It is in a bad state, but we felt safe, crossing carefully as we did. I do hope it gets fixed soon.
I set the camera up on a nearby fence post to get this shot.
Tomorrow's walk is planned around the Polhollock suspension bridge on the other side of Ballater which suffered a similar fate in the flooding of December 2015.
Excellent choice for spending the day - the shot is wonderful - clever to get it that way - scary way to cross that bridge - let's hope it get repaired soon. That area is beautiful.
