Donald Duck Tea Set by jamibann

Donald Duck Tea Set

I don't know much about this tea-set, other than I fell heir to it from my grandparents. I think it belonged to my aunt (dad's sister). It dates back to the 1930s, I believe, when Wade Heath received permission to produce a set of Disney Ceramics in the UK. This set is immaculate, but what to do with it?! It has been sitting in a box in our garage for years, and will no doubt continue to do so for some time yet.
That's antique, have it valued.

And it's probably quite a rare antique that many "Disney" fans would love!! I think it is very quaint and deserves to be on display - not in a box in the garage!!!! fav

I'm sure it is valuable, especially to Disney collectors. It definitely should be in display.

Love that teapot. Never an easy decision to make when you come across something that's been in the family for years but now just lives packed away.

I’m sure a collector would love it!

it does seem a shame to have it packed away in a box - someone could be thoroughly enjoying this!

Use it!

Maybe these family treasures are worth quite a bit since you have the whole set.

Oh dear...it is far too cute to toss, but one of those weird things we end up owning that we will never use. It would be fun to find out its story.

Very cute .. Think it looks just fine on your bench.. Is it full size or 'doll' size?

It's rather charming. (We ended up taking a china dressing table set of my grandmother's to a charity shop, after trying to find it a 'good home'. A chap who owned an antique shop said he could have got £40 for it but out of fashion now!) It was rather pretty but nobody in the family wanted it. Hope the charity shop got a good price.... http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/365/2012-09-20

It would not cross my mind to take a shot of something like these, I think I need to remove the blinkers. This is a very effective shot. fav
