Hubby and I are participating in the Loch Ness Etape at the end of the month, and so are trying to get the training miles in. Not so easy as we have a busy month of visitors! However, I squeezed in a ride yesterday on my road bike, and both us went out on the mountain bikes this morning, cycling 40km from home, around the loch and back. We had to walk about a mile with the bikes though as the terrain was impossible to cycle (for us!). We don't like to take too many risks on narrow paths with boulders and a steep drop on one side - a fall wouldn't be good!
