Sunset at the Hotel Miyako, Ise-Shima

As promised, a beautiful day, followed by a beautiful sunset.

We hired e-bikes from the hotel (never used those before ... great for exploring) and cycled up to an observatory point on the hillside you can see in this image. Then we had a fabulous lunch in town - barbecued eel - sitting on tatami mats. We loved it! Then a cheeky g&t at the hotel watching the sun go down.

Back to Tokyo on the train tomorrow.

Our son and family are using e-bikes in China and love them- wee guys on the back and they go to school together!

@sarah19 are your son and family living in China? In Tokyo we noticed a lot of e-bikes with a child seat in front and behind. It seemed the preferred method of getting around with 2 young kids. I could have done with that when our kids were small!

@jamibann yes they are both teachers and the two little guys (4 and 6) go to the school too. Just went last August.
