Starting off Flash of Red February with this one taken yesterday on our hill walk. The mountains and hills around us are perfect examples of forms in nature and so do expect more over the next week! Bonus point if you spotted hubby checking out our sheltered lunch spot - it doesn't look like it, but it was blowing a hoolie up there!
You two are hardy folk....I think I would be a bit alarmed up there with that weather but you are reared on it so obviously love that terrain.....I think Iām a fair weather walker! I see him!
I was hoping to see someone do a landscape with this theme and you did! I am always drawn to the way some hills look like they've got a comforter of earth draped over them. It really draws the form of the ground. Beautiful shot!
@happypat I do get a little alarmed on occasion, when the mist descends and you can't see your next landmark. However, 'have faith in the compass' is my mantra when this happens. You do, however, have to be very careful out there in winter. Things change very quickly. We stay at a maximum height of around 850m when the weather is iffy.
