Every Thursday evening at 8pm we step outside our homes and give a round of applause for our key workers who are all helping us get through this crisis. I decided I would bang my Burmese gong last night (gently ...) and Jock McLego decided he'd step out into the burgeoning saxifrage and play a wee tune on his bagpipes. Three more weeks of lockdown for the UK was announced, as expected, yesterday. We're not out of this yet. But we're thankful for so many of the simple things in life, like our health, a garden and this lovely April weather. Stay safe folks, stay safe. xx
What a way to show appreciation for the workers who are risking their own lives for the greater good. Your photo setting shows off your bagpiping man so well.
Jock is striding out there, just a pity we couldn’t hear his rousing bagpipe playing. I love the clapping time...we all come out of our houses & we can just hear each other clapping & shouting! I can see Amanda & Chris & family of course opposite & it brings us all together. All the care workers & NHS staff so deserve every clap!
Cute. A wonderful tribute to all the folks who are trudging on every day and night to keep the rest of us in food, healthcare, and other essential products.
Jock actually doesn't look too thrilled about the 3 weeks yet of lockdown. He sure has lovely surroundings to spend his time in. Very cool practice you all have of cheering on your key workers.
