Now that golf is allowed again, the boys got out on the course yesterday. Social distancing observed. No touching the pin. No rakes in the bunkers. Fair enough. However, only two-balls are allowed to play, no more, even if they live in the same house. So, only two of the three of us could play, and the course was near empty - crazy! However, I walked around with my camera and took photos. It was cold for June, as you can see from what the boys were wearing. It was a tight match for them finishing all square on the 18th.
Ooh it looks colder than here. We were allowed to play with people in your bubble in level 3, then with 4 at level 2, but no cart sharing, or touching flags or raking bunkers. As from tomorrow in Level 1, no cases in whole of NZ, normal golf resumes
The perfect social distancing sport! Yes, it's been jolly cold again - should warm up next week. Teenager has a birthday next week, so am hoping for warm and dry to have some outdoor fun in the garden!
Glad you are able to get back to playing golf. I know from the past it's something that you like to do. Golf courses probably have some great photo ops since they are kept up so nicely.
That seems so strange -- how 3 people in an open setting would make a difference is beyond me. But at least you got to walk the course and they were able to play. I'm looking forward to golf on the island once I've quarantined up there. Fingers crossed!
@casablanca We have two birthdays this weekend. I was SO hoping for nice weather, as we wanted to walk Ben Avon. However, it seems that is not to be. I have to work on Plan B.
Lovely photo....all the yellow on broom etc is gorgeous at the moment.
So many of these rules are crazy! Created in the central belt for the central belt and no understanding of more rural places ....perhaps?
@sarah19 I've never seen so much blossom on the broom as this year. It's just a delight to see. Here's hoping that we'll get another announcement tomorrow - the numbers seem to be good at present.
