This is truly a diary shot, with no photographic merit at all! We met with friends in Pitlochry this morning, with the intention of walking Ben Y Vrackie, a hill none of us had done before. Unfortunately a couple of hours into the walk, I got a call to say that dad had taken a turn and the ambulance had been called to take him to hospital. Hubby and I therefore headed off the hill, as quickly as possible, to get back to Braemar - even though we knew it would be too late to see dad before he was whisked off by the ambulance. So, a fairly stressful day, despite the beautiful weather we've had. No news on dad, other than that he's comfortable. Of course I can't go and see him because of Covid-19. So frustrating and difficult. So, playing the waiting game and hopefully tomorrow will bring some more clarity.
So, back to the photo, I took this shot of our friends hiking across the hill, after we'd left them to hightail it back to our car. You'll need to look closely to spot them!
I found them!!
So sorry about your Dad. I do hope he recovers well. Thinking of you. Rubbish when you cannot visit. So much love to you and yours and the best of wishes xxxx❤️
@casablanca It is rubbish. I'm so glad we lunched with him on Tuesday when he was on good form. Dr suspects a small stroke, but I just need to be patient and wait to find out. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some clarity. It's been a stressful day!
So sorry about your dad Issi....that’s just the news no one wants to hear. Not a good time to be ill....hope he recovers quickly & safely home again....desperate times for hospital patients & their families.
I can spot your friends but my word it looks mighty cold!
I just opened the photo up with my fingers & you can see then clearly!
@happypat Oh, I know, it was such a shock as he was so well on Tuesday when we saw him, but I guess you just never know. I'm a bit more optimistic since I spoke to the nurse this evening ... she came back from seeing him to announce to me on the phone 'he's never 87, is he really'? So, he can't be looking too bad. It's still a worry though.
I feel for you. Hoping and praying for improvement that will bring solace to you all.
Spotted the walkers...they jumped out in their dark coloured clothing.
@jamibann Yes it is, if only you could see him yourself you would know how he is just by looking....here’s hoping his active life serves him well when he needs it! X
Oh no what a scary time for you. It must be so difficult not being able to visit him due to Covid restrictions. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. Are you able to speak with him on the phone at the hospital?
Thoughts are with you and your dad...so hard with Covid and isolation. My mom is 97 and timing couldn't be worse. I did find your teeny tiny friends - great for scale.
I can tell from way back here that they're missing your company already and feeling very concerned about your Dad. I'm so sorry that you are not allowed to be with him in this concerning time. I know how you feel having been unable to visit with my Dad while he was in a nursing home.
I'm sorry to read about your dad- hopefully since I'm reading this way after the fact he's much better now and you've been able to see him. To be honest I was saw the "dots" but wasn't sure if they were your friends or not but come to find out I was right. Hoping your dad is feeling better and home by now.

I think I can see your friends in this shot.
