What could this be?

I'm sure this is something that a lot of you will be familiar with, but it's possible you've not used it for some time. This is my dad's and I'll be spending some time with it today, as it's a dull, dreich day out there. Any ideas as to what I'm going to be doing?

It is indeed a slide carousel with slides. We're putting together a display of slides for Christmas day with dad and the 'kids', so I was checking that everything works, which it does. We have already come across some great slides, so I'm looking forward to this project! Thanks for playing the guessing game with me. :-)

Have a look at the SlideScan app. We're going to have a look at our old slides in the holidays. I like the idea of passing on a digital version to the youngest ones.

Of course…my son in laws family used to do slides like this plus I’ve been to talks where the person has slides such as these.

@happypat Yes, dad did a lot of talks to WRI groups etc. on Mountain Rescue, so he always had the carousels and the screen at the ready! I’m impressed that the whole system still works as it must be 60 years old. The projector has a round plug on it with an adapter on the extension lead!
