Life goes on

We didn't sit at home yesterday. Instead we all went out for a walk. Starting off in the moonlight, (and the moon was almost as bright as the sun) we walked up to Loch Callater (pictured here with Alexander standing on the edge of the water) and onwards to Tolmount (one of those hills in the distance). A beautiful day for exercise and reflection. The only disappointment? After a hard 28km, thinking about fish and chips for supper since about 10 am ... and finding out when going to get our order that the shop was exceptionally closed for a staff night out! I cannot express my disappointment. We had to get a Chinese carry-out, which absolutely did not do it for me! Ha ha ... not to worry. A minor detail, although it didn't feel like it last night!
That is a beautiful shot, fabulous composition and use of the light.
I feel that pain. We went to the site where the Young Fella works on Friday on our 30 years since we started going out anniversary with the express intention of eating a Melting Snowman cake there and going for a walk. We got there and found it was closed all day for staff Christmas party (our lad casual worker this Winter so not invited and wasn't aware it would be shut) so we had to turn around and go again. I had been thinking about that cake all week!
Had it yesterday, a day late. You will love your fish and chips the next time you get them twice as much! xx

What a stunning pic - but what a disappointment, especially when you walked all that way :)

A very intriguing view….quite mystical . I wonder how in this light you see where you’re going, quite uneven ground I’m guessing but you must all be like mountain goats ….very sure footed. That’s a compliment btw! The fish & chip shop had no business closing!

Love the glow of the sky and on the water. I also like that it includes the silhouette of a person.

Sorry to hear about the missing fish supper. I can remember driving from Forres to Ullapool once and arriving to find the fish and chip shop closing. Devastating!

You took this at 8:53. What time were planning on having supper?
