Ooh you could be in Texas! What a fantastic cactus…..I can se the attraction here of those prickly plants. Our twelve year old grandson is fond of cacti. I know nothing about Prickly Pear cactus….sounds like you can make jelly.

I'd forgotten you were on holiday! Cactus remind me so much of my teen years living in Tucson, Arizona and horseback riding in the desert! The jelly is delicious, though my mother just bought it and never made it. I think you must be having a spectacular time!

It looks lovely against the blue sky. Prickly pear was introduced to Australia with the First Fleet and became a huge problem to farmers. It has mainly been eradicated now.
