A Dinky Door by jamibann

A Dinky Door

I love these, in Cambridge! An artist has placed a trail of these doors throughout the city. It's such fun finding them as they are about 6 inches high, and are placed on pavement level, so not always easy to spot. We found 5 yesterday, including a 'crime scene' on Mill Road Bridge, where someone had vandalised one of the doors. :-(

Sorry I'm not commenting much at the moment, but I'll get back to it tomorrow ... I'm focusing on keeping up with posts until I get back home.

How very unusual. And there appears to be a gift on the doorstep! Good in mono!

They are gorgeous! Beautiful little door. People make them in trees, too. Usually at the bottom of the trunk.

Very interesting find. So they are actual mouse sized doors that lead to the inside???? Fascinating. I would definitely try to catch that tour.

@shutterbug49 They don't actually lead anywhere, but they are miniature sculptures placed just out of plain sight, in certain areas of town. There's a website which tells you where to look for them - but you do have to pay for that pleasure. We just checked out the ones my SiL knew about. For your information : www.dinkydoors.co.uk They aim to deliver 'dollops of delight that can defend against the daily onslaught of miserable miserableness'!
