Look Up!

I was pottering in the garden yesterday and looked up to see this pigeon looking down on me. I thought it was odd for a bird to be on a nest in September, but my friend Google tells me that pigeons lay eggs pretty much all year round. That explains why there are so many of them!

I knew that as they were a pain in the neck at the farm. Building nests above the tractors & machinery…… bird poo everywhere but we still like them especially here where they nest in the hedges instead! Love the cooing!
