@lhart Thank you, Lynne! It's very windy on the beach today, so we took a short bike ride instead. We headed straight to the turtle pond, where the turtles always swim over to greet us. They pop up, hang there in the water for a while, and then drop down and pop up somewhere else!
@juliedduncan Thanks so much, Julie! There are dozens of them in the pond, and we look forward to seeing them each year. The water is always very clear, so it's fun to see them coming and going beneath the surface before their heads pop up!
He's a good size turtle - and that water is so nice and clear. Bet they are fun to watch - I spot them sunning on logs until they see me - then plop into the water and disappear.
@milaniet Thank you for commenting, Milanie! The pond looks nice and healthy; and we enjoy the wildflowers along the banks, too. Each visit is a treat!
@mccarth1 Thank you, Kerry! Turtles really are so neat. We only see them occasionally at home. A month ago, we found one in the skimmer basket of our pool. My husband lifted it out; and thankfully, it was just fine after a few minutes of rest!
