That's what I think of when I see this image. Hot coffee. That's because I poured a cup and went out onto the long porch to sit in the tall chair where I could watch this rough sea through wind-whipped hair. Unusually big waves crashed, sending water all the way up to the house and burying our steps to the beach under 3' of sand! Mother Nature and hot coffee go so well together, creating unforgettable memories!
I like viewing this image best on the black background.
@milaniet Yes, Milanie...we did have a gray day today. The bright side was that the sea was full of personality! Thank you so much for commenting. I always enjoy your feedback on my project.
I can well imagine your sipping on that hot coffee while you watch the thundering waves come at you over and over again. They're mesmerizing, aren't they!
@lyndemc Yes, the waves sure were mesmerizing! And thought-provoking. And fascinating. And awe-inspiring. And captivating. And this list could go on and on! :-)
@cejaanderson Thank you for commenting on my image, Jane! The cloudy morning made the image look as though it was shot in black and white, but it wasn't. We thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening to the powerful waves. It began to rain heavily in the afternoon; and the waves got even bigger, more powerful, and much louder. We're thrilled to be staying in this house right on the beach where we have such a fabulous view of it all. Of course, we'd rather it was sunny; but the storm really was a thrill to see!
as soon as I looked at this I just started to stare out into the distance...its mesmerising...isn't it strange how the sea does that to people....must be waiting for something I guess....fabulous moody shot Janet....j
@tellefella Thank you for commenting, John! Yes, indeed. It is mesmerizing to watch the sea. I'm heading out there right now. This time, the sun is out; and I love watching sparkles dance on the surface of the water. There's always something new to see with the sea!
@lhart Thanks, Lynne! Other than straightening the horizon line just a tad, I didn't process this image at all. The colors of the image are the colors I saw...ugh. It was a gray morning, and we'd rather have had some sunshine; but the interesting sea kept us delightfully entertained!
