A shriveled up leaf long past its prime? Oh, no. A beautiful ornament well worth the thirty minutes I spent admiring it! The Japanese Maple brimmed with the graceful curves of leaves left hanging; and in the company of a curious chickadee and a busy squirrel, I spent this mild December morning loving each one!
Photography is a love affair with life.

I'm thoroughly fascinated by the way you focused this - love the one sharp edge against the softness of the rest of the leaf. The color tones are perfect and the vignetting finishes it off so well. Lovely. Fav
It is most definitely a bit of beauty in the quiet brownness of our current winter weather. Love the elegant, even graceful curve of the leaves and the blush of red the one's held onto.
@lyndemc Thank you so much! I could have spent hours photographing the leaves on the Japanese Maple. Each was ltwisted beautifully into an intricate, tiny sculpture like a work of art.
