Old books and I get along, especially when they belonged to my children. I took a sentimental journey while placing these cherished, well-worn books on the mantle, fondly recalling fresh-from-a-bath, Christmas pajamas, snuggled up tight, and “let’s read it again!” Sarah’s now 28, and John’s now 25; and did I see a familiar, childlike twinkle in their eyes when they visited and caught sight of this display? Indeed, I did. And I loved it!
@cejaanderson Thank you so much, Jane! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and the fav. This was the first year I displayed their childhood Christmas books on the mantle, and we are really enjoying them. So many wonderful memories.
A beautiful collection of memories represented by these precious books. Your mention of freshly-bathed, PJ-dressed kids has me wishing I could have my three boys back at that age for just an hour or two for a Christmas book reading session. Those were special times. Excellent LB work here.
@lyndemc Thanks so much for your sweet words and fav, Denise. Yes, if only we could have our kids little again if only for just a moment. Those really were special times.
