Outside this morning to enjoy the fresh, clean overnight snowfall and the few flurries still lingering, I heard Canada Geese honking overhead in typical March fashion. Just a few days ago, we had temperatures in the sixties; and today a snowy white blanket tucked the woodlands back in for a little more rest. The lavender in the kitchen garden doesn’t look like much now; but in a few months, I’ll add its flowers' gentle, floral flavor to shortbread, sauces, butters, and more.
Thank you all for your kind comments on yesterday's shot of Bubba the Palm Cockatoo. His smoky-gray plumage and location in front of many windows make him tricky to photograph.
I think March is the month between seasons and the weather can never quiet decide. My friends in the UK have been telling me today they had a snow storm after 4 or 5 days of rather balmy weather! Great shot of the snow :)
