Fushcia, pink, magenta, lavender? I just can't pick a name for the unusual, glowing color of the Eastern Redbud flowers just beginning to bloom. While quite often planted to beautify parks and gardens, these native-to-the-eastern U.S.-trees occur naturally here, decorating roadsides and woodlands each spring. I found this one in the native shade garden during my visit to Monroeville Community Park this morning.
I praise you, Lord, for the powerful punch of color you gave the Eastern Redbud trees.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Think about such things, I shall; and by photographing such things, I'll think about them all the more. Photography's like that. It keeps me focused on God's goodness. Here's to a year of praise!
