Discovering springtime blossoms delights! The moment I spotted these two from inside, I knew the rain and cold wouldn't stop me from heading out. This small dogwood tree, nicknamed "the martini," got planted in the pool wall bed years ago. It didn't take long to realize that its placement above the pool wall meant we'd view it primarily from beneath where its unique martini-glass shape meant we'd see mostly trunk and branches. We won't make that mistake again. We almost moved it several times, but above the pool wall it remains. Looking up today, I admired this pretty pair — the first flowers ever seen on the martini!
I praise you, Lord, for flowers finally appearing on the martini.
