The dehydrator over all these years only dried beef jerky made by Mike and John — a tradition we treasure; but today, that dehydrator dried apples. Inspired by the delicious dried apples made at Somerset Mountain Craft Days, I decided to make my own. Times certainly have changed as this handy device and the dehydrator make the work much easier than that of colonial women, who used knives to prepare the apples and linen thread to hang the apple slices for drying.
I praise you, Lord, for historical records and reenactments — and, also, for work made easier.
