Clouds blocked the sun intermittently all day, and I drove home knowing five minutes was about all I had to devote to photography. Hoping the clouds would cooperate during my small window of opportunity, I walked out to the treehouse where I'd admired backlit oak leaves the evening before. I stared upward at colorful but unlit leaves for a few minutes and snapped a few unremarkable shots. Then, with only a little time left, I composed with finger ready to press down on the shutter button; and just at the right time, sunshine! CLICK!
I praise you, Lord, for the cloud moving at just the right time — things could have played out differently.
