The sight of a Christmas tree at the corner of a wraparound porch always strikes my fancy as does an intermingling of red and white lights; and as if we didn't already have enough to do over the weekend, we thought, "What's one more?" We put up three trees indoors each year, and now we put up a fourth tree — outdoors and lit with red and white lights at the corner of the wraparound porch!
A successful shopping trip provided everything we needed, and Mike worked late out in the cold to make it happen. When he finished his work, we took a walk in the dark to the end of the road where we paused to thoroughly enjoy gazing upon our new addition; and then it was time to warm up indoors with cups of hot tea and laughter over how much we both love decorating for Christmas and the thought of how a similar tree would look great out in the treehouse...grin.
I praise you, Lord, for fun times preparing for Christmas.
