While Gracie enjoyed a little playtime on the snow-covered deck, I enjoyed a close-up view of some graceful hemlock branches and cones. I love the way this old hemlock embraces the one corner of the deck. As I stood admiring the pretty details of the tree, the rapid chatter of an agitated squirrel somewhere above my head surprised me. Branches began to bounce as the squirrel descended to have a better look at me before continuing to voice its frustration at my presence and eventually leaping into another tree. Gracie came over to check out the situation but soon went back to her snow-sniffing. We don't enjoy this view very often because a slight turn to the right provides a beautiful view of the treehouse and woodlands beyond, but I quite liked peeking into the sunroom from this seldom used vantage point.
I praise you, Lord, for the hemlock embracing the one corner of the deck and the chance to enjoy this unique view of the sunroom.
And another Fav from me. Janet, I so admire your style of photography. This has such gorgeous DOF and colouring. The snow looks like tinsel and the cones like little decorations, so beautiful.
I spent a while looking at this the other day, but without the energy to find a suitable comment. Can I just say that I like it. Such lovely little cones. It is good to appreciate the small things even when there is more obvious views to enjoy in the other direction.
