Through the window, pretty light on the leathery leaves of our one and only Southern Magnolia struck me as I got ready to go to the gym. It struck me again when I opened the garage door and stepped outside to enjoy a moment of our unseasonable February weather before hopping in the car — mid-morning and already 52°! This flower bud, soaking up the warmth of the sun, holds the promise of a large, fragrant, creamy-white flower come spring; and for a photo of this incredible gift, the gym could wait.
I praise you, Lord, for the many incredible gifts you so freely give.
