Mrs B's been! by jesika2

Mrs B's been!

I had found Brimstone eggs on my Alder Buckthorn but had missed the visits. Today it happened. I was in the garden when I saw her arrive.
She's tired, old and bit worn, probably born July last year, but she has strength enough to leave eggs. Now all I have to do is find them, so far I've seen 2.
Her job is done and although Brimstones can live up to 13 months it's a bit unusual.
Lovely Lady, so pleased to see her and always welcome in my tiny jungle.

I love the way you love your insects. And I love the stories you tell us about them.

@stownsend thank you, that’s very kind. I sometimes wonder if I got my working life wrong and should have been a “bugologist” and then think perhaps it’s better as a no pressure hobby.

Lovely photo - you would have made a great biologist

She may be a bit ragged, but she is still doing her job. Good luck in finding her eggs! Fav!

@fishers there are not as many as her labours suggested there would be but some are safe in the nursery.
