Breakfast Nook

I wish I had taken this at a slightly different angle so the picnic table wasn't smack in the middle. I wanted to capture the tree and the dock though!
Beautiful

Lovely colors, I could sit there and have my coffee while the sun rose! :)

wonderful shot

Great shot. I can see some other POV options, but doens't change how good this one is. I wonder what it would look like if the right 1/3 was cropped out (I know you lose the tree). Crop to the righ edge of the table and us the table and the row of piers as leading lines

Awsome spot for breakfast! I once ate my breakfast on top of a mountain. Only place that could trump this one though.

Beautiful... gorgeous sky =)

It is a fabulous sky. Think I would have tried to isolate that tree. But then thats just me.
March 26th, 2013
@fueast I actually thought of that. But there is all sorts of junk around it an between it and the lake and sky
March 26th, 2013
Well I like the table being there so you can imagine sitting there. I like the idea of cropping it for the leading lines though. regardless, this is a beautiful scene. The sky is just wonderful.

The sky is beautiful , I like the angle of the table too

This POV is fine, but I see whaty you wanted to do. The table seems quite OK where it is in the bottom third of the frame. Sky colors are lovely.

Incredible Jane.
March 27th, 2013
The sky draws me in. I have noticed several of your photos where the sky seems to stream toward the camera, and it is one of my favorite composition devices.

Oh wow Jane- gorgeous!!
March 27th, 2013
unusally beautiful lake a sky. what if you were standing on the table?
March 27th, 2013
Nice low-light shot!

This is a beautiful capture Jane. My thoughts. I do agree with you, I would have taken the shot at more of an angle. Putting a little more angle on the table top may have brought some added interest to the composition as well. I like the tree and dock in the framing I think it brings balance and added interest to the shot.

Beautiful !

I love the lens distortion on the table
March 27th, 2013
Really nice shot.
March 28th, 2013
Gorgeous sky, and I really like the strong presence of the table. I do think that having both the dock and the tree, on opposite sides of the frame, is too much for me (although I'm constantly trying to leave in all the yummy elements myself). The suggestion above for cropping just right of the table works best for me, although this photo is great as-is!

What a dramatic sky! Absolutely breathtaking!
March 28th, 2013
I'm glad you decided to keep the tree, stunning shot. fav.
March 29th, 2013
That table creates a fabulous leading line into that sky. Excellent work Jane.
