My photographer friend heard that the lagoon had been stocked with fish and that herons and osprey were there. So I went out early this morning in hopes of catching them- no osprey but a couple of beautiful heron. This one seemed to be absorbed with his reflection instead of catching breakfast.
Brilliant light and reflection, this heron was watching the water waiting to dive his head in to catch a tiny fish. You have a wonderful capture here. FAV

Congrats on Too 20! I live on a creek and try to get a good pic of the herons there. It is always shaded, too far away, or I cannot get my camera out in time. This heron shot is sooooo great! That smooth water makes the best reflection. Fav
