We went for a speedy two day trip to Seattle to take my cello back to where I bought it thousands of practice hours ago. We finally had the opportunity to go to the Chihuly Glass Gardens. They are mind bogglingly fabulous and even though the light left a lot to be desired will be showing up in my albums in the days ahead.
Thanks ever so much for your continued support, comments, suggestions, favs, and keeping two of my shots on the PP for several days.
OMG, I love Chihuly's art, and have seen it in different places. He had an exhibit in a botanical garden very close to my house, and it was amazing. I also saw it in the old city of Jerusalem, which was an amazing contrast of the modern and colorful designs against the old mono-colored rocks. FAV.
Oh wow - lucky you! I saw an exhibition of his work at Kew Gardens a couple of years ago - it was extraordinarily beautiful but there were only a few bits and I'd love to see more. The depth of colour in this shot is fantastic
Nice shot, love the light and colors. He truly is amazing. I've seen his work in a few places, and a we had a great exhibition at our Botanical Garden a few years ago. Great opportunities for photography!
I sometimes have a problem with photos of other people's art. But if the photographer does something to add his or her own skill and artistic technique to the photo, that's a different story. You have certainly done that with your composition and use of light. Fav, again.
