Thanks so much for your amazing support for me and my gallery and for taking the Milky Way at Bob's Creek wayside shot to the PP. I couldn't do it without you!
This was a fun shot to try to get. We were quite a ways from the lighthouse on an overlook. I used a shutter speed of 15 sec and covered the lens when the beam of the lighthouse was directly towards the camera so it wouldn't blow out the exposure. I think it turned out pretty nicely. The light on the surf is from a light on the road.
I'm off to man ( or woman in this case) the gallery. I have to say I'd rather be out shooting. The weather is lovely.
I only see skies like this when I visit NZ Jane...too much light pollution even in our country area where you can still see the town lights in the distance. Lovely blue image with a perfect clear light beam.
Surreal. It blows my mind that the beam seems to rise, and I guess that must be an illusion caused by the light coming toward you. Impeccable technique. Fav again.
Congrats with another PP...a well deserved one!
