Well, after Helen thought my birthday shot of "Baby Light My Fire" was of my husband, I figured I better introduce my 70 yo self! I just can't figure out how I got so old so old so fast. This was actually taken by a friend.
Thanks for being such fun friends.
This is a lovely shot of you.
And I'll be 63 next month and for the life of me can't figure out when that happened. My guess is that means that they were full and wonderful years.
All of your hiking and early morning swimming keep you young! Everyone your age is not able to accomplish what you are doing all of the time! Also, the view of your magnificent surroundings convey to me a classic timeless beauty; which is what I see in the portrait that is you!.
I see that your friend took the shot, but did you do the processing?
70 years young! Great portrait of a phenomenal photographer! I find your images beautiful and amazing and can't wait to see what you'll be posting next.
Well Jane I think you look fabulous at 70...I am a year older than you & I think looking at the pair of us we haven't done too badly! You have great bone structure & are far more beautiful than all the over made up, botoxed women we sometimes see around us.
A natural born beauty....& a very fit one too!!
Lovely portrait! I love your passion for life, hobbies, and the great outdoors. You are an inspiration I want to be traveling to great places and taking pictures to document my life. Cheers Jane! I hope we can someday do a meet up I'm in Seattle.
You look fabulous! Of course this is a comment coming from a younger man - 9 months younger! One of the benefits of getting older is I now appreciate the beauty of more mature women.
What a beautiful portrait! You look great! Obviously all your interests and activities are keeping you young. And lucky us that you do photography! Happy Birthday.
I just love this! Great expression, and a gentle kindness in those eyes! The comments on growing older brought to mind a song by Dar Williams that Joan Baez sings:
"I'm so glad that you finally made it here
With the things you know now, that only time could tell
Looking back, seeing far, landing right where we are
And oh, you're aging, oh and I am aging oh, aren't we aging well?"
