Poplar Windblock

There is something about the poplars at this time of year that makes my mouth drop open in awe. I like how these draw the eye in towards the farm in the distance.

Wonderful perspective. I'm on the lookout for poplars because they often were planted around houses and cemeteries, so I sometimes find photo surprises near them.

Great composition and perspective. I quite like the daringly low horizon and farmhouse beyond the usual third to the right, which works very well here thanks to the height and volume of the trees. It feels like a "classic composition, but more extreme"!

I have always had a thing for poplars, too, the way they lead the eye along a landscape. The wide and deep view here really works. I love the lines and contrasts.
