During my class we spent the late afternoon each day at this spot with our assignment each day being somewhat different. This was the first day and the assignment was to let the photo come to us rather than going to search for it and then find the cliche and not shoot it automatically. There is the cliche of the leading line here but I think it works.
Thanks so much for your wonderful response to my bridge and half done shots yesterday taking them to the PP. I am always open to critique as well
Do like these rocks - not just for the line they give you, but the texture and feeling they create. The light on them and the reflection in the water all makes a really nice peaceful shot.
This sounds like an amazing course -- one that would push anyone's thinking. The result here is terrific. The leading line of stone works to create the composition. Not cliche but necessity.
Not only is there a leading line in the rocks going into the picture, but there is also that flaming tree at the end like a punctuation mark! Very well spotted and captured!
