Saguarro Twilight by jgpittenger

Saguarro Twilight

Best on black. I took this our last night in Todos Santos. The cactuses are so picturesque but rarely could I find one without lots of other brush or trees right next to it. I've not used my Fuji before on stars and certainly can see my Nikon would have done a better job. I hope my shoulder will soon recover.
Thanks much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs

Didn't know you'd hurt your shoulder Jane, what a pest for you. Love this shot whatever the camera. I'd really like to see one of these 'in the flesh' sometime, we don't have this variety here to the best of my knowledge.

The cactus really stands out and is a good example of the multiple arms. I found -- sadly -- the best ones in San Jose were on the golf course, but they'd been cultivated and didn't have surrounding brush. As soon as we went into the brush, it was almost impossible to find one without all the surrounding yucky looking stuff. Beautiful result!
