Lava Fire Hose by jgpittenger

Lava Fire Hose

More from Hawaii. Best by far on black. They call the lava flow into the ocean that is happening now a "fire hose" because it is such a thick concentrated flow. I wanted to include in this photo the place the lava was flowing out from as well as the splash and fragmenting when it hit the ocean. Taken from a boat.
Thanks much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs and for your continued joining me on my fabulous Hawaii adventure.

I can't get over how clear this is taken from a moving boat. You are truly amazing with your steady hand! It's a fabulous shot -- brilliant to have the full flow. Instant fav of course!
April 3rd, 2017
@taffy it was hard to get the full flow since I just had a 70-200 mm lens and we were so close!
April 3rd, 2017
@jgpittenger All the more impressive! All but about 3 of my shots were total blurs!
April 3rd, 2017
This is amazing, especially as you were shooting from a boat in the dark. So clear. Wonderful shot of nature's power.

I bet that was a difficult photo to make. Did you stitch vetically or did you zoom in post edit?
