Best on black. One of the things that is worrisome in the Grand Canyon is how many people take risks standing, sitting, doing yoga poses right on the edge. I like the way the color changed in the canyon as soon as the sun rose but found the person standing on the edge unsettling to say the least. On the other hand she offers a sense of size.
Taffy and Junko leave tomorrow which is making me sad. we've had so much fun. jim and I will be staying a few more days.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
OMG, does she have a death-wish? How foolish. But definitely to your photographic advantage. The landscape is beyond amazing, and your capture is, as per usual, top class and that silly woman puts the cherry on top.
A magnificent photo Jane - and yes - I couldn't watch them - the tour buses pulled up and they all rushed over to the edge and posed as you said - it just needed one slight wobble!!
Wow -- I love this!! Having the person in the shot make all the difference. I too loved the contrast, but without a person, it looks less interesting. Instant fav, of course.
This is an exquisite capture of the Canyon. The violet color range is breathtaking. As for the person, it does seem that people feel immortal when they are there and take risks they ordinarily would not take. The lone figure adds interest to your photo, here’s hoping she lived to enjoy another day. 😊 Congratulations on this making the TT, so deserved!
The Canyon is so breathtaking!! I was there just 2 weeks ago, during the rains :-(
