I'm taking a class from the Photography Society of America and out first assignment is to show our understanding of depth of field. This was taken at F 16 using hyperfocus distance to have it be sharp from foreground to background. Anyone who has been following me for a while has seen this local gem before but probably not on a sunny beautiful day!

Really lovely, I love light houses. You've got plenty to choose from on the Oregon Coast! To achieve your hyperfocus did you focus 1/3 of the way into the scene? We studied hyperfocus in AYWMC, but I don't know if I achieved it.
Jane, have you looked much at Photopills smartphone App and used their hyperfocal table with AR? You can specify your camera, lens focal length and aperture, and then us AR (Augmented Reality) on your smartphone to pinpoint the hyperlocal distance. Out in the filed I tend to use the simple 1/3 of the way, but I'm beginning to use the App more since it seems to me to improve the overall focus.
