I've been gone on a road trip so I'm way behind on commenting...sorry. I was thrilled to get some shots of a kingfisher...one of my favorite birds that I rarely have gotten any decent shots of before.

It seems like you and I are both in a high key mood today and we both have a little problem with distracting grey patches. I gather yours are ripples in the water. A very minor issue, and only in the top half of the image. I like how it appears to be a black and white image at first glance then the colour in the kingfisher becomes apparent. Well done.
Love the kingfisher! And @cdcook48 makes an interesting observation. I did squint to look closer because it's mostly on the left side, and I wished there was more on the top. As if we could make it appear!
@jgpittenger -- not more overall white (in fact I think this is a 4 x 6 proportion and I might even lower it to a 4 x 5) but if you have more white with the water lines showing in that space where it's all white now that would be nice.
