I found an old pic of Niguelle and I in my closet this weekend as I cleaned it out; I posted it on facebook in a public album. We must have been in 9th grade cuz I had my braces on, and we were getting ready to go to a dance. =-)
A lovely portrait - I like the texture too - it's one of my favourites. With b&w I find it's a matter of experimenting with contrasts and levels ( and not forgetting the midtones) until you hit upon something you like- or there are various pre-set 'actions' available which can help too depending on what kind of mood you're wanting to create.
