When I went to the dog pond, I found this beauty patiently waiting on top of a fir tree. I stayed there for a while hoping to catch him in flight but it was not until I left and took my camera from my eye that he flew so my in flight shot was not as sharp as I would have liked. I sure wish my 500mm lens wasn't so darn heavy to carry around so I could have used it instead of my 300!
