My get pushed partner @vignouse assigned me to take a picture that I planned rather than culled(my word) from several pictures taken at one time and then to keep learning from each successive picture. My planning
1. to take midday as before
2. to use a smaller aperture
3. to set camera at iso 200
4. to use a longer focal length then second try
5. to use aperture priority
6. to be sure the shutter speed was right for the shot for focal length
7. to take black poster board to place behind the flowers to give strong contrast
8. to take the white poster board and try to bounce some light, when clouds over sun, on the face of the daisy.
Planned, and followed through and happy with results.

Well done Joan - mission accomplished. I'm sure that you could now repeat this shot and get identical results,,, which was the purpose of your challenge.
I came back to look and think this is a really good one!! Your stem is brighter than what I chose to do, and I did clone out any area that was showing a shadow, but other than those little things, to me we took a very similar approach.
This is such a tough challenge. I am struggling to understand all this with my new SLR. But I also took a daisy today but sadly used the autofocus to get the clarity. I think I may go on a course to get to grips with the camera a bit more. Your picture is stunning.
Great photo. I think I will follow your instructions above and attempt the same; a learning experience for me too. Thanks for sharing those and your lovely end result, Joan - a success!
