Seen a lot of farm animals on here lately so when I passed the horse place a less than a mile from my home I had to pull over and get a snap. I reset my camera after this because it seemed to be have a strange setting. I also removed the wires of the electric fence.
Gorgeous capture. I have meant to pull over to get a shot like this but usually don't have time. I looks like I should make it.
Good job in removing the fence too.
What a cutie!! Pretty vibrant colors to show him off. So funny reading your narrative about farm animals as I debated today going over to a farm where they have cows and chickens. But the hay bales won out!
I like your horse Joan and this works well with the PoV you have chosen. There's something red in the background (just under her neck) that distracts the eye a bit but this is a minor point. You should visit again and perhaps ask if you can do a mini photo shoot of - I don't know - a day in the life of a horse?
@joansmor Screw up the courage to ask or to do the shoot? If you like the idea of doing the shoot but are hesitant about asking, would it help if you did this by letter or e-mail or by the relative anonymity of a 'phone call?
I only suggested this because of your obvious pleasure at photographing this beautiful animal - I'm sure there will be more chance opportunities like this one anyway.
@vignouse I'm thinking of asking my grand nieces boyfriend whose grandfather I used to take riding lessons from when I was in high school(any comments about that being back in the dark ages and I won't listen to you any more.)
Good job in removing the fence too.
