Junco by joansmor

Junco

Such an original title. My "clever" is buried in the snow. I don't even know any more where to but the snow I take off my steps. And the cold is awful. But the birds are still adorable.
Excellent use of space in your composition. Lovely little birdy. Fav

They were entertaining me today as well. But you got a better shot than I did!

@olivetreeann I find them hard to photo graph. Maybe because I am looking down.

Lovely POV!

It's a perfect shot. Love!!!

@joansmor I think it's because they're naturally dark, so they contrast with everything and sort of throw the balance off.

This is really beautiful Joan. Love the solitary bird in all that white snow! Great comp. (you must be sick of the snow by now?)
February 10th, 2015
Sorry to hear about all the snow you're having will pray for warmer weather for you....Nice capture on the junco I like the light in his eye....

Lovely photo

Your juncos look a little different than purs--very cute!
February 10th, 2015
Purs = ours. Stoopid tiny keyboard. And fumble fingers!
February 10th, 2015
@olivetreeann You may have it right. I actually used a adjustment brush in LR to make the gray darker because he looked a little washed out and in the fall he blended in with the back ground.

@aikiuser Thanks I figured it out. Typos are my problem with a full key board. Thanks

Beautiful capture

Sweet shot

wonderful. Any bird picture is a miracle of timing I think since 1 millisecond before he would have been somewhere else and ditto after. I like the tracks in the snow that lead to his position.

Lovely bird in the huge amount of snow. Very sweet image

lovely capture. nice comp and focus

This is quite delightful Joan - he looks a little bewildered surrounded by such a vast expanse of white, but he's arrived in the right place to get fed.

Gorgeous little bird
February 10th, 2015
Excellent capture! It is very hard to get the eye on dark birds. Well done! Juncos are a sure sigh of snow!
February 10th, 2015
